Technology

Give your assets the power to prove themselves.

Nocmark generates a reprogrammable cryptographic image and ties it to an owner. Print it, show it on a screen, or project it onto an object — then let the hardware you already run recognize it, at the edge or reporting to the cloud when you want to.

Selectively readable

Inert to everyone but the right sensor. A mark is provisioned to the specific devices you authorize — so only your readers resolve it and reach its action library. Access can be narrowed further still: a mark can be geofenced to a geographic area you choose, so it functions only where you intend.

How it works

Four steps, one pass.

01

Generate

The platform creates a programmable cryptographic blockchain image from a source image and binds it to a specific owner or account in a distributed ledger.

02

Place, display, or project

Print, apply, or weave the mark onto an object (including spectra-sensitive and thermal media for covert marking), display it on a screen (phone, computer, TV, and more), or project it onto a surface where no physical tag exists.

03

Detect

An authorized sensor — handheld, gate, drone, or overhead — recognizes the mark, resolves the owner, and confirms its current programmed state. Bring your own AI computer vision, or use the recognizer Response Images provides — either way, recognition flags a likely match and hands off to the exact cryptographic layer for the decision.

04

Seal & act

The observation is sealed as a tamper-evident record with time and place, and the mark's programmed action of your own design fires — a custody entry, an alert, a status change, or a reprogramming — locally, with no network round-trip required.

The mark itself

What makes a Nocmark mark distinct.

The mark is built on an aperiodic tiling — a pattern that never repeats. Among the capabilities this enables are two that shape how Nocmark is deployed.

Uniqueness

No two marks are alike

Every mark is a non-repeating excerpt of an infinite aperiodic field. Because the field never repeats, the supply of distinct marks is effectively unlimited — each one a one-of-a-kind fingerprint rendered in high-contrast black and white so sensors read geometry, not color.

Selectively readable

Inert to everyone but the right sensor

A mark is provisioned to specific devices — a named satellite, drone, or handheld. Only authorized readers recognize it and reach its action library — a range of programmed responses of your own design. Access can be narrowed further to a geographic area you choose. To everyone else it's inert. Access control is built into the mark itself.

Measured

Runs on the silicon you already field.

Benchmarked on commercial server infrastructure and reported in brand-neutral terms. No specialized or rip-and-replace hardware — it runs on the CPUs, cameras, drones, and satellites you already operate.

Latency

Low-millisecond

Typical verification per image at the point of capture. Measure the exact figure on your own hardware in the live demo.

Offload

Round-trip removed

Resolving locally removes the central-server load a per-scan round-trip would create — fewer back-end servers, less bandwidth, and lower energy draw, with savings largest at the edge.

Footprint

Local

Verification stays at the point of capture; no continuous round-trip to a server.

Measurement note

The technology is benchmarked on commercial server infrastructure, reported in brand-neutral terms. The public demo measures live performance on your own machine; request a briefing for the full server-tested results. Energy figures depend on deployment mode and are largest for edge and hybrid deployments.

Bring your own, or use ours

Recognition and sensors, configured to your operation.

Nocmark meets the vision stack and the sensors you already run — and gives you the choice at every step. These are configured when we build your deployment.

AI computer vision

Your recognizer, or ours

Already run an AI computer-vision stack? Nocmark integrates with it. Don't have one, or want ours? Use the recognizer Response Images provides. Recognition detects and shortlists the mark, then hands off to the exact cryptographic layer — either way.

Sensor selection

Tell your AI where to look

Your AI knows how to look; selecting your sensors tells it where. Register the satellites, drones, cameras, and handhelds that will read your marks — and route what happens on a read: record it, monitor it, or fire a programmed action.

Deployment mode

Edge, connected, or hybrid

Verify at the point of capture with no round-trip, resolve against a registry when you want central oversight, or run a hybrid of the two. The mark's value doesn't depend on any one mode — edge is one high-value option, not a requirement.

Materials, spectra & placement

Printed, woven, painted, thermal or spectral, on a screen, or projected — the material, spectrum, and placement are chosen per deployment, and characterized on your own substrates and sensors as part of a live validation test with our team. See solutions.

See it work

Prove the principles to yourself.

Rather than take the claims on faith, run them. Our interactive demo registers a unique aperiodic mark, programs an action, reprograms it over the air, verifies it against a local chain of custody, and fires the action on an authorized read — all in your browser.
